Of These 100 Days: Day 6

For days 9-0 (or, you know, -1 on, though I so doubt Roger will go past due since he's been so huge!) I'm doing a separate post each day. Enjoy!

Day 6 - February 25, 2011

Today was another day of your mama and daddy intentionally making the most of life pre-Roger. It's not that having you here won't be absolutely wonderful, but how often will I get to sleep until 10:30 just because I could after you come? Pretty much never. So that's what I did. I slept for 10 1/2 hours, didn't get out of bed until 11:30, took my time reading my Bible and messing around on my phone, and then I had a transcription file that I did as I felt like it (it's not due until Sunday, which is pretty rare, though I finished it up tonight just in case!) and generally did not a lot of anything productive. I watched some Throwdown with Bobby Flay, became convinced that we need a panini press as a result, and prayed that Jorge, our "pet" squirrel outside, is staying warm and getting plenty to eat. I want to make him a squirrel sized snuggie but how would he put it on? I can't imagine ever being able to catch him so that's just a pipe dream :)

I did one awesome thing today: I wrote this blog post, which has been on my heart for about a week now. I knew that if i didn't write this then you'd come and I'd forget all about the stuff going on in my heart regarding my weight and my body right now. I want it recorded, to look back on this and remember what Jesus did and will continue to be doing. So I'm glad for that!

Tonight your daddy and I used a buy one, get one free coupon for Chipotle (score!) and watched Community, The Office, and Parks & Rec (aka our favorite shows, save for Modern Family). It was grand! Your daddy even squeezed in a little Wii Sports Resort before bed. Mama laughed at him because, and don't tell anyone this, he shakes his booty like crazy when he's sword fighting. It's AWESOME. I'd put up video but honestly you might not have a daddy because he'd die of mortification. That just makes me love him all the more!

Speaking of your sweet daddy, we are going to a Marriage and Family Seminar with Ray and Jani Ortlund at the Mars Hill Ballard campus tomorrow so that means this tired mama needs to get in bed! Thanks for not coming yet, so hopefully we do get to go tomorrow :) I'm seriously praying you hold out until at least Tuesday, but we're taking no chances and bringing the hospital bags with us to Ballard tomorrow just in case.

I love you so much, my little monkey moose, and am so excited for you to come! I'm glad you keep growing, though, and hope you loved the Chipotle as much as I did! Yay that we have at least two more meals of leftovers thanks to those massive burritos they make ;)
